While diving below a sardine run in the Pearl Islands of Panama, you can imagine my confusion and excitement when on a drop the first thing I see is what I could have sworn was a halibut. But wait a min, halibut live 2500 miles away from here.. I don't know whats going on, but I am sure to not let this massive flounder get away! Well turns out, there is plenty of them! In a 30 min span we count over 70 large flat fish. Only taking a few of the biggest we were lucky to get the largest fish at 27lbs, but the fun thing about finding this amazing congregation of big flat fish is that we all would have set WR's that day!
