My Dive buddy, Daniel Semrad II and I went out to Pacific City on Monday the 8th of June. We kayaked out to Chief Kiwanda/Haystack Rock. Dropped anchor about 20 yards off the rock. I was using a Omer Cayman HF Special Edition 75 speargun. Daniel had just surfaced from a dive and mentioned there was a pretty big cab down below him. I made my dive and sure enough at about 18feet there was a massive Cab resting on open flat rock beneath me. I lined up my shot and got him just behind the head so that the shot would go all the way through and be a clean shot. The fish didn't give much of a fight on the way up and once one the surface I rigged him onto a simple comp stringer.
