Travis and I were swimming over a shallower part of the reef. It was about 20-25 feet deep. We both spotted this grouper at the same time and I dove on it. My first dive spooked the fish and I thought it was going to take off, but it came right back out of its hole and sat over the sand. I dove a second time and barely had my Headhunter spear pulled back when I let it fly. Stoned. I came up with the fish on the same dive. It was my biggest fish yet and we later found out it was a record!
