I was free-diving off of Walker's Cay in the Bahamas on Sunday, June 16th 2014. We were in an area hunting specifically for hogfish, mutton snapper and grouper when two permit swam by our location. Using a hawaiian sling with a 6 foot spring steel shaft I was able to shoot one of the permit. The fish immediately went to the surface where I was able to call our captain Calvin Albury who handed me an additional shaft which allowed me to finish off the permit that I had originally shot. I was able to put the permit into the boat unassisted.
