I was diving the reef edge at Conway reef with 2 other divers. After swimming along the reef for a couple of miniutes I spotted a school of Midnight Snapper hanging around a crack in the coral. I breathed up on the surface and dove down and shot one. Not even thinking it was a overly large one. After pulling it away from the coral and seeing it side on I noticed it was quite a lot bigger then the midnigt snapper I was used to shooting. I played the fish for a while as I ddint want the shot to tear out and safely got it to the surface and iki’d the fish. The dive depth was 18m and a total dive time of 47 seconds. I then swam the fish back to the boat, threw it on the back deck and returned back to the reef to continue diving. The intire dive was recored on gopro and the footage is available if required.
