We headed out to one of our favorite spots for big gags. After thowing in some chum Dave and I slid into the water and started looking for grouper. It didn't take long before we had several targets in front of us. Now the hard part was getting close enough to get a shot. I worked my way around the backside of a big rock. I loaded my polespear and made my drop to find a big nose sticking out in the open. Since I couldn't see his body I took the shot I had and nailed him square in the nose and he went crazy. He pulled backwards immediately and tried to get into his hole. He managed to get in but I wasn't letting go. I pulled hard on him till I could bear hug him and lock my hand into his gills. After surfacing I swam him to the boat and threw him in where we quickly wighed him.
