I shot this carp with my GatKu polespear during the World freshwater spearfishing championship in Lake Mead, Nevada. While scouting before the event, we found a nice ledge next to deeper waters and I layed there for a while, waiting to see who was home. A really big carp came up a foot right in front of me and came back to check me out everytime I dropped afterwards. I knew we had to go back there during the tournament! We went back to the same spot the day of he event and sure thing, a big one came to the meeting and let me place a nice holding shot on it. Big mahalo to our boat Captain Bobby!
