I had swam back to our dinghy to drop off a fish and was making my way back out to my dive partner. There was a lot of bait fish swimming around so I took a couple of drops. On one drop I spotted a couple of rainbow runners. I aimed for the larger of the two thinking it was a perfect size for dinner. So as I dropped and swam towards it it slowly swam away. I was able to hit it mid body as it took off away from me. It wasn't until I got the fish in closer did I realize it was a bit bigger than I first thought. Once I pulled it in close enough I was able grab the tail and slip my hands in the gills. I hugged it close to my body as I grabbed my knife and brained it. Brought it back to the dinghy and slipped it under the deflated floorboard.
